All of the turned wood pieces shown are available for purchase. Each piece is hand turned on a wood lathe and is one-of-a-kind. Prices vary based on size, shape, grain pattern and type of wood.

Materials For environmental reasons and matters of conscience, I only use salvaged wood for my turning projects. Much of the wood comes from the woods near my home, from trees felled by beavers, trees blown down by wind storms, diseased, dying or recently deceased trees. I also use scrap wood from furniture manufacturers that would otherwise be burned. The process of harvesting and gathering wood takes considerable time away from the actual creation of the project, but I consider this a good use of local resources.
